Pay As You Earn (PAYE) is deducted monthly by employers on behalf of the Uganda Revenue Authority. The following bands apply to monthly income:

Value Added Tax (VAT) is charged at a standard rate of 18% on taxable supplies of goods and services in Uganda. Businesses with annual taxable supplies exceeding UGX 150,000,000 are required to register for VAT with URA.
